Ice Skating...

As soon as I began introducing myself to the instructor, Lance was already walking onto the ice. The instructor, Katie, had to ask for help from two girls she knew on the ice to take the drink and papers she was holding because Lance was ready to go!

Katie let Lance guide the session. If he started turning in a circle, she would show him how to do it. If he started going backwards, she would show him how to do it. Her teaching style was perfect for Lance and the whole experience was extremely positive for him. Katie was very excited about how well he did.

Lexi was really good at looking cute on the ice....not so good at skating on the ice!

Katie started with this plastic trainer but quickly went to holding Lexi's hands because the trainer wasn't helping very much.

Lexi smiled the whole time but was only on the ice for a few minutes because it was quickly obvious that having a positive experience should be the only goal of this lesson.

When talking about skating, Lexi would always say "but I fell down" Lance's favorite part was spinning himself in circles.
